My specialty is photography of the West and, in particular the Four Corners area.
I use unusual techniques when possible to create more memorable photographs including my new, unique,
"Abstractures" (TM), abstracts of nature. Always looking for an opportunity to capture unique images, I'll
use a small rain puddle to obtain a reflection even if it means lying on the ground with the camera at the edge
of the water. I'll return to a particular spot at different times and seasons looking for the uncommon rather
than a "standard" photo. Often I'll suddenly pull my vehicle to a stop when I "see a picture", resulting in images
that others miss.
My award winning photographs hang in homes and offices across the country and have been published numerous
times in Durango Magazine, the Durango Herald and Arts Perspective. They have also been used commercially
in advertisements, brochures and website design. I have also exhibited in many galleries and juried shows.
I share my knowledge and experience with members of the Durango Photography Club which I founded in
February 2003. I've been chosen to judge many photographic competitions and have presented many seminars
and classes on photography. I also work with the Boys & Girls Club, 4-H, Kids Kamp and manage the photography
section of the County Fair.
